Industrial Brick Millwork Marketplace Iowa Wedding

Happy Monday, Friend! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving — filling up on all the good food while spending some quality time with your family! This year brought so much to be thankful for! Last weekend I finished out an amazing 2018 wedding season with one of my new favorite weddings! Kyle and Emily planned their dream wedding at Millwork Marketplace in Dubuque, Iowa. Let me tell you, it was gorgeous!

These sweethearts have been by each other’s side since high school. They’re quite the perfect pair! Whoever said opposites attract had it right! Emily’s spunky and Kyle is her calm. She energizes him and he keeps her grounded. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect balance! Being part of their wedding day was a true delight to witness!

A few months ago on a video call, Emily told me all about their wedding venue and her vision for the day. I’ve been anticipating it all after hearing Emily describe Millwork Marketplace. I mean, who wouldn’t be when you hear about “a renovated iron mill with exposed brick, piping, beams and more!” I’m a sucker for historic buildings with lots of character, so I could just image how amazing it was going to be! On their wedding day, Emily showed me an unfinished portion of the building where she hoped to do their portraits. I was instantly in love. We’re talking studio-quality, natural-light photographer heaven. It was perfect!

I LOVE meaningful details with a heartfelt story. The antique pearls she wore for their ceremony are the same pearls her mom wore on her wedding day. The precious heirloom jewelry was passed down to Emily from her mother, who got it from her mother, who received it from her husband (Emily’s grandpa!) as a wedding gift. Maybe someday Emily will get to be the one who passes the jewelry down!

Kyle and Emily, thank you for your joy! YOU made your wedding day so fun! I’m so, so thankful to end my 2018 wedding season with such a awesome and easy-going couple like you guys!
