Dreamy Wapsipinicon Country Club Fall Engagement

Happy Tuesday, Friends! How crazy is this weather we’ve been having? I’m so ready for the real  October!! It’s high time we had that crisp fall air. I’m ready for that perfect temperature for cozy sweaters, lattes and walks to see the turning colors! Instead we’ve had rain, rain and yet, more rain. I’m so thankful we got a little break from the dreariness last week to celebrate Scott and Ryann with the perfect fall engagement session at the Wapsipinicon Country Club in Anamosa.

When flooding washed out our initial location plans, Ryann was on the hunt for the perfect session location. After combing through all the suggestions from friends and family, she settled on the place: Wapsipinicon Country Club. I think her second pick was even better than the first. It was absolutely perfect! You see, Ryann and Scott met at the Wapsipinicon Country golf course. Not only did they meet there, but these avid golfers still play the course whenever they can. I don’t blame them! If I knew anything about golf (or any sport for that matter!), I know I’d want to take in this view every day!

Before every engagement session, I send my brides tips on how to prepare for their session. Ryann followed all my style advice to a T. She even brought extra comfy shoes for walking in! So smart considering the substantial amounts of water we have around here! Her make up by Moods Salon + Spa was absolutely flawless. I was so excited to hear that Ryann got pampered a little bit before their session! Engagement photos don’t come around every day, so what a great excuse to have a spa day!

Scott and Ryann, you guys are troopers for braving the blustery, somewhat drizzly day we had! You just never know what Iowa weather is going to turn out to be. It worked out perfectly though! You guys are stunning. I can’t wait to capture your wedding at Ashton Hill next fall!
