Home Newborn Family Session in Oskaloosa, Iowa

One of the best parts of being a photographer is getting to celebrate life’s joyful moments with friends. Last fall, my family and I took a trip down to Oskaloosa to visit my dear friend, Ashtin, and her family. During our visit, Ashtin shared the exciting news that they were expecting their second baby!

Fast forward to now, and they are a happy family of four! Ashtin invited us back to their farm for another visit. This time, instead of spending time outside, we enjoyed slow, quiet moments indoors. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, perfect for capturing their first photos as a complete family. It was wonderful to witness them settling into their new life together.

We spent the day catching up and taking photos. I got to slow down and spend quality time with my friend and her sweet little girl. It was time filled with meaningful conversations and shared memories. Moments like these remind me why I love being a photographer—it’s about more than just taking pictures; it’s about celebrating the beauty of life and the bonds that tie us together.
