I shoot engagement sessions for all my couples because I value the time I get to know them before the wedding day when everything is going on. To me, it doesn’t matter when we shoot the session before the wedding as long as it happens. For Taylor and Jim, that meant meeting in Galena for their session just a month before their wedding! We got to talk about wedding plans while we shot. Saying goodbye wasn’t quite as hard when the “see ya later” was only a month away. If you have time for an engagement session before the wedding day, shoot the session. It doesn’t matter if they are back-to-back dates. That time will never be less valuable.
