Jacob & Courtney | Cedar Ridge Winery Wedding

I was a little worried when my weather app said rain was predicted on Jacob and Courtney’s wedding day. God is so good though and the rain held off! We even finished celebrating the newlyweds with the doors to Cedar Ridge Winery’s banquet hall OPEN! What a fantastic day with such amazing friends and family!

I should probably start by saying I knew this darling couple before I was their photographer. Jacob is cousins with Joey–my hottie husband. The best part about when Jacob comes to family events? Courtney! I’m so excited about another “married-in” girl joining this crazy family!

Courtney knows how to create day filled with gorgeous details! After hearing that Tiffany at Studio Bloom was her florist, I knew every floral detail would be perfect! Just keep scrolling to see her gorgeous bouquets! Bridesmaids in dusty blue tulle skirts and delicate camisoles paired with the men in wool vests and khakis was the perfect amount of class. My favorite style is simplistic beauty and Courtney nailed it with every detail! My favorite detail of all? Her Anna Campbell gown! I might be drooling a little… Haha! The second she pulled it from the garment bag, I was blown away by the bodice filled with beads upon beads with a 1920’s feel. Best thing of all?? She got it on sale!! Their reception was filled with elements from family. Courtney’s dad hand-crafted all of the flower boxes and her mom made their cake! I had myself a rather large helping and it was amazing!

Okay enough of me drooling over the details. Jacob and Courtney are two of the easiest people I’ve ever worked with. Why? Because they care so much for each other. Throughout the morning as they got ready, Jacob asked me how Courtney was doing. He wanted to make sure she wasn’t stressing. I can’t get over the look on his face as he lept (oh yes, lept!) around to see her for the first time in her gown. Utter amazement at the beauty of his bride. I love watching these moments and hearing snippets of love comments as they are together.

Jacob and Courtney, I love having you two as my family. Thank you for trusting me with the responsibility of being your photographer! Please come back to Iowa more often!
