After a week of drizzling rain here in Iowa, we were so lucky to have a sunny day for Jillian and Jacob’s Iowa engagement session. These two currently live out-of-state, but they couldn’t picture their wedding anywhere other than Iowa. Their beautiful slice of southern Iowa land was the perfect place for their engagement photos. The sentiment of this location only makes these memories sweeter. Jillian and Jacob were quick to tell me they are the most laid-back couple, and honestly, I love that about them. We had the best time chasing the light before it sank behind the trees. Everything we captured felt genuine to them and their relationship with nothing forced or overly posed — perfectly them.
