July 6, 2018
After taking a little time off this week for some 4th of July celebrating, I’m excited to get back today and share my latest engagement session with you! This sweet summer field engagement session at Kent Park in Oxford, Iowa was the perfect way to wrap up engagement sessions for my couples getting married in 2018! Ti and Jenni joined me on one of the sweatiest, humid days Iowa has to offer. Despite the crushing heat, these two rocked every bit of their engagement session!
More than a decade ago they dated a bit. But, things didn’t go quite as they hoped. Both agreed they just weren’t ready. So, they parted ways. Separating never felt right though. They both kept tabs on the other and never forgot what they had together. Years later, Ti reconnected with Jenni through social media (gotta love the wonders of the internet!)! Their relationship was rekindled and much more serious than the first time they dated. Now, twelve years after first getting to know each other, they’re engaged! I’m so happy for them. What a testament that true love does exist!
One of my favorite parts of their engagement session was recreating photos of Jenni’s grandparents. They brought along ginger beer, just to recreate a particular image! The sentimental value that image has for Jenni touched my heart. Family is one of the greatest gifts. So, to see it treasured is truly heartwarming.
I’m also still obsessing a little bit over Jenni’s emerald engagement ring! With a birthday in May and green being her favorite color, this ring and matching band were the perfect selection for Jenni.
Ti and Jenni, you guys are rockstars for enduring the Iowa humidity with me! I can’t wait to see you again in a few months on a hopefully much cooler day for your wedding!
